Yay! I am finally getting around to this lovely book tag that was inspired by The Book Raven! You can follow her here: https://thebookravenblog.wordpress.com/. I totally loved this idea and knew I had to post my own version. Thank you Tiana for this! So here we go!
1. Thank the lovely person who tagged you, spread the love!
2. Mention Tiana @The Book Raven as the amazing creator of this book tag!
3. Use the original tag image in your post. (However, Feel free to add whatever other graphics your heart desires!)
4. At least tag 1 fellow blogger for this tag. Even if your like me sometimes and feel a bit lazy
5. List the rules
6. Don’t forget to have fun with it!
“No Ideas But in Things” A book cover that perfectly expresses the novel inside it.
I definitely have to go with the older cover of Perfect Ruin! I fell in love with this cover when it was released! I am kind of sad that they redid the covers (and it was almost immediate). I wish we would have seen the rest of the series like this ❤
“Dark and Lovely” A book cover that is so creepalicious you just want to eat it up.
I have to go with The Creeping on this one! I haven’t read this book yet but I’ve heard nothing but good things. I need to pick it up so I can have it in my collection. This cover is pretty haunting.
“Sugary Sweet” A cute cover that is so fluffy you want to give it a hug.
I love how light-hearted The Siren cover is! It makes me want to go to the beach immediately. My other choice for this tag was Endless Summer by Jennifer Echols. I couldn’t find a good quality photo of the cover though…meh 😛 So my second choice wins for this tag.
“The Simple Aesthetic” A book cover that stuns with the most minimalistic of design.
This tag will FOREVER and ALWAYS go to Stargirl! This book is just everything. I read this one so long ago! Man oh man…I may need to go back and reread this book. I can’t believe how time flies!
“Cover Envy” A book cover you wish you had on your shelves, but don’t yet.
One book I keep meaning to grab! After seeing the movie trailer of it a few weeks ago I knew I had to read Everything Everything. This cover is so colorful and fun. I am quite pleased with it. I wish I had this on my shelves now 🙂
“Traveling Abroad” A beautiful book cover featuring a country outside of your own.
I read 13 Little Blue Envelopes when I was in my teens. I think I started The Last Little Blue Envelope but NEVER finished it. I NEED TO KNOW HOW THE STORY ENDS! I hate myself sometimes. Why am I like this!? Help me guys lol
“The Color Wheel” A cover that showcases one of your favorite colors.
Of course black is my favorite color! (Even though technically it isn’t a color) And there is no doubt I wouldn’t pick Three Dark Crowns for this tag. It is fitting! I think this cover is bad ass and the cover reveal for One Dark Throne was AMAZING as well.
“Switching Gears” A cover change you absolutely adore.
I think The Laurel Series cover change was for the better! The bottom row is the original covers…but I felt like they may be a bit childish? I think the top row is much more “adult.” I am glad they stuck with the flower theme! Flowers tend to make for beautiful covers.
“Oldie but Goodie” A favorite cover of your favorite classic.
The Great Gatsby is my favorite oldie but goodie! The cover for this book always reminded me of a painting. With the eyes and watercolor underneath it. Remember that T. J. Eckleburg is always watching you 😉
“And the Winner is…” Which book cover mentioned above is your favorite?
The winner is PERFECT RUIN! I don’t think any other cover will ever compare to this one! It is so bold and beautiful and EVERYTHING! There are a lot of other amazing covers…but this one…whew! It makes me all happy inside 😀
Ella the Queen of Night
Thanks for joining me on this lovely journey guys! I hope to see some of you other book bloggers doing this tag. I quite enjoyed it! Thank you again Tiana for coming up with this little venture. I may have to create something of my own next. Stay tuned for that my pack. Cheers!
