Spring Season:Re:CREATORS-Why Isn’t Anyone Talking About This Anime More?!

We are pretty well off in the spring season of anime. One might even say we are getting to the end of this season (since most anime’s are only 12 episodes now). Most of the hype has been revolving around Attack on Titan season 2 and My Hero Academia season 2, but I want to talk about Re:Creators! This show has my vote for the best anime of spring season. I can’t even begin to tell you how much I love this anime.

Here is the premise for the show:

“Humans have designed countless worlds—each one born from the unique imagination of its creator. Souta Mizushino is a high school student who aspires to be such a creator by writing and illustrating his own light novel. One day, while watching anime for inspiration, he is briefly transported into a fierce fight scene. When he returns to the real world, he realizes something is amiss: the anime’s headstrong heroine, Celestia Yupitilia, has somehow returned with him.

Before long, other fictional characters appear in the world, carrying the hopes and scars of their home. A princely knight, a magical girl, a ruthless brawler, and many others now crowd the streets of Japan. However, the most mysterious one is a woman in full military regalia, dubbed “Gunpuku no Himegimi,” who knows far more than she should about the creators’ world. Despite this, no one knows her true name or the world she is from.

Meanwhile, Souta and Celestia work together with Meteora Österreich, a calm and composed librarian NPC, to uncover the meaning behind these unnatural events. With powerful forces at play, the once clear line between reality and imagination continues to blur, leading to a fateful meeting between creators and those they created.”

Military Princess and Selestia

In a way this show is the opposite of most fantasy/action anime. Instead of going into a virtual world like Re:Zero, KonoSuba, or even Sword Art Online the creations end up coming into the human world. So you can think of it in reverse. I love that we get the opposite effect in Re:Creators. I’ve always wondered what it would be like if we had anime/manga characters or video game characters come into the real world. That is essentially what Re:Creators explores.

I am also obsessed with the opening song gravityWall by Tielle & Gemie! I could listen to this OP over and over again

I’m really digging the development of this show and its characters. The character designs are STUNNING! I, of course, love the military uniform princess Altair, but I am also fond of Makagami and Yuuya. All of them are total bad asses! This whole show is FUCKING GOLD! I want more people to talk about it.

It’s not the same shit anime we keep seeing over and over again. It has a few cliche aspects to it but nothing that really takes away from the anime. We have a great story line, killer fight scenes, an amazing opening/ending sequence and a dab of mystery (it really makes the viewer think about what is going to happen next). I like trying to figure out how the anime is going to play out next.

If you haven’t picked this up for spring season…idk what the eff you’ve been doing. You are missing out on a cut-throat action packed anime adventure! It is one show that keeps you wanting more. I highly recommend this to anyone who needs something fresh and exciting to watch right now.

Is there anyone else watching Re:Creators right now? If so what are your thoughts? What are your feelings and take on this anime? Let me know in the comment section! 🙂

    1. I feel like I am not a tough critic like a lot of other people. I know certain series aren’t made for specific people. Everyone has their likes and dislikes. I personally love Re:CREATORS and the same could be said of Sword Art Online. People bash on it so much but I really enjoy it. SAO:Ordinal Scale blew both seasons out of the water and it made up for a lot of things in the series. I am excited to see what they do with season 3 (since it was announced). I feel like I am the same with Attack on Titan. I really really enjoy AOT but it’s not my personal favorite. I would rather watch other anime over it. So every anime is unique to one’s taste 🙂

      1. When I first started reviewing I will always up end going easy on the anime I love lol and yeah the movie was great but it had it flaws. I can’t believe I wrote a review of the movie right after I came home. Was dead tired. Shouldn’t have done that XD

        1. We got to see the movie at like 8 pm so luckily we got out of the theater pretty early lol One anime that I didn’t finish was Steins; Gate. I got 6 episodes in and was like, “Why does everyone love this anime so much?” I found it quite boring. There isn’t a lot of anime I don’t like, but most anime I am only inclined to watch just once. They have to resonate with me pretty deep in order for me to love them and watch them more than once.
