TTT: Top Ten Tuesday–Summer Anime I Am Excited To Watch–

We are just a few weeks away from the first day of summer! I am so not ready for the heat. I am the type of person who would rather be cold than hot. It is waaayyy easier to add a bazillion layers of clothing than just running around nakie. Cause that is pretty much what you have to do in the summer time in order to keep cool. I moved to a new place roughly two months ago and our place does NOT have central heating and air. Please just save me the despair and kill me now. Merp.

Eh…I’ll survive some way or another. Good thing we have a pool in our complex! I guess beggars can’t be choosers. I’ll have to take whatever I can get.

Moving on.

I know you guys are here to see what upcoming summer anime I am most excited to watch! Everyone’s list seems rather different and that makes me pretty darn happy considering we all can’t be watching the same anime. We need some variety in our lives! This also helps weed out which anime’s are good and which ones can be dropped.

So here’s hoping most of the ones I am choosing to watch are worthy of my approval! I hate having to drop anime because of lack of interest or it’s just meh. I will list the anime down below along with the anime’s synopsis, that way if you are also interested you can pick it up for summer season. 🙂

1. Dive!!

If you are a fan of Free! Iwatobi Swim Team or Yuri!!! On Ice, then Dive!! might be right up your alley. Sports anime have become seeming popular over the last couple of years (or they have been popular in general and I just never knew about it cause I’m oblivious like that). Ever since I saw a promo for Dive!! I have been anticipating its release. Summer couldn’t get here fast enough! I was like, “Give me those hot guys in speedos now!” Tehehe.

Anime synopsis:

“The series revolves around the Mizuki Diving Club (MDC), which is on the verge of closing down after having financial troubles. The club’s new coach persuades the club’s parent company to stay open on one condition: that the club sends one of its members to next year’s Olympics as part of Japan’s Olympic team.”

2. Netsuzou Trap-NTR

Who doesn’t love some well done yuri action!? I know I do! I am super excited to see Netsuzou Trap. Since we have to wait until Citrus gets an adaptation, I guess Netsuzou Trap will have to bait my yuri appetite. I hope this one gives us some sexy girl on girl scenes.

Anime synopsis:

“Yuma and Hotaru have been friends since childhood. It is only natural that when Yuma is nervous about her new boyfriend, she asks Hotaru along with her boyfriend for a double date. But when Hotaru offers herself to Yuma as “practice,” both girls realize that they’re more interested in each other than they are in their own boyfriends.”

3. New Game!! Season 2

I am super pumped to see my ladies from New Game! once again. This anime was simple and pretty mellow, but I enjoyed the first season none the less. I am excited to see where they will take this series. Aoba and all of the other ladies are totes adorbs! :3

Anime synopsis (from the first season):

“Since childhood, Aoba Suzukaze has loved the Fairies Story game series, particularly the character designs. So when she graduates from high school, it is no surprise that she applies to work at Eagle Jump, the company responsible for making her favorite video game. On her first day, she is excited to learn that she will be working on a new installment to the series: Fairies Story 3—and even more so under Kou Yagami, the lead character designer.

In their department are people who share the same passion for games. There is Yun Iijima, whose specialty is designing monsters; the shy Hifumi Takimoto, who prefers to communicate through instant messaging; Hajime Shinoda, an animation team member with an impressive figurine collection; Rin Tooyama, the orderly art director; Shizuku Hazuki, the game director who brings her cat to work; and Umiko Ahagon, the short-tempered head programmer.

New Game! follows Aoba and the others on their adventure through the ups and downs of game making, from making the perfect character design to fixing all the errors that will inevitably accumulate in the process.”

4. Hina Logi: from Luck & Logic

Hina Logi

It seems we will be getting a Luck & Logic Season 2 but Hina Logi is coming out first. This seems to be a different (or rather a side story) of Luck & Logic. It looks cute and vibrant just like its original, so I am willing to give this one a try as well!

Anime synopsis:

“Liones Yelistratova, a pure princess from a small country, enters a school in Hokkaido on a spring day. The school is a specialized educational institution operated by ALCA to train Logicalists, who maintain world peace. Liones enters class S, where she meets many classmates with unique personalities, like Nina. A lively and cute everyday life begins now.”

5. Koi to Uso (Love and Lies)

Koi to Uso

I am keeping my fingers crossed that Koi to Uso (Love and Lies) is a good anime romance/drama. After watching how well done Kuzu no Honkai (Scums Wish) was all the other dramas following up have some stiff competition. I love me a good fucked up drama. This one seems a little bit more light-hearted by the trailer, but we all know trailers can be deceiving sometimes. I want HEARTBREAKING DRAMA! Just give me all duh feels!

Anime synopsis:

“Lies are forbidden and love is doubly forbidden. In the near future, when young people in Japan turn sixteen, they are assigned a marriage partner by the government. People don’t have to go through the trouble of looking for someone, and everyone accepts that the country will find a compatible partner to make them happy. Yukari Nejima is fifteen years old. He lives in a small corner of the country, and just can’t seem to get ahead in life. Both academically and athletically he’s below average. But within him, he hides a heart burning with passion! In this world in which love is forbidden, what will happen to him when he falls in love?”

6. Kakegurui

I am very very intrigued by the art style of Kakegurui. This is an anime about gambling but apparently it has some psychological twist. It also has tags for mystery and drama. The manga gets a 8 out of 10 rating so I have very high hopes for this anime adaptation! You better not disappoint me Kakegurui!

Anime synopsis:

“Hyakkaou Private Academy. An institution for the privileged with a very peculiar curriculum. You see, when you’re the sons and daughters of the wealthiest of the wealthy, it’s not athletic prowess or book smarts that keep you ahead. It’s reading your opponent, the art of the deal. What better way to hone those skills than with a rigorous curriculum of gambling? At Hyakkaou Private Academy, the winners live like kings, and the losers are put through the wringer. But when Yumeko Jabami enrolls, she’s gonna teach these kids what a high roller really looks like!”

7. Hajimete no Gal

Hajimete no gal

Hajimete no Gal is considered a romance/comedy  but I see very heavy hints of ecchi in this anime as well. You can even tell by the pictures on google images that this manga/anime has a naughty side. I don’t mind me some sexy ladies with some ecchi “plot” lines. If you catch my drift 😉

Anime synopsis:

“The romantic comedy begins with Junichi “Jun” Hashiba, an uncool high school student who frets about wanting to lose his virginity. Egged on by his friends, Jun goes on his knees and confesses his love to a classmate named Yukana Yame. The confession surprisingly works and the couple goes out. However, Jun finds himself in uncharted waters with Yame, a trendy and fashion-conscious “gal” (gyaru).”

8. Jikan no Shihaisha (Chronos Ruler)

An anime that deals with time-eating demons?! I am so in! I love any anime that deals with the concept of time and space. I even enjoy anime’s the deal with ideas of demons. I am a huge fan of anything that has a story-line of gods, monsters, and devils (you know…the whole good vs evil concept). The animation of Jikan no Shihaisha looks superb! Project No. 9 studios also did Netoge no Yome wa Onnanoko ja Nai to Omotta? and I LOVED that anime show.

Anime synopsis:

“The story centers on “Chronos Rulers,” those who fight the time-eating demons that appear when people wish they could turn back time. The Chronos Rulers fight a time-manipulation battle against these demons.”

9. Centaur no Nayami (Centaur Worries)

Centaur Worries

After how popular Monster Musume and Interviews with Monster Girls were, I have no doubt that Centaur Worries will be quite trendy as well. I mean just look at the girls in the picture. They are so freaking cute! I adore anime shows that have animal characters in them. Can’t go wrong with cat girls either! Meow meow. =^.^=

Anime synopsis:

“Himeno is a sweet, shy girl, who struggles with the high school life. The difference is she’s a centaur; but she’s not alone. In fact, all of her classmates are supernatural creatures, sporting horns, wings, tails, halos, or some other unearthly body appendage. Yet despite their fantastical natures, Himeno and her best friends are down-to-earth, fun-loving teenagers who grapple with issues of life and love.”

10. No Game No Life -Zero- (Movie)

If you aren’t pumped for the No Game No Life movie then we can’t be friends anymore. You might as well just leave right now. I have no time to talk to anyone who hasn’t seen No Game No Life. I AM SO EXCITED BEYOND BELIEF FOR THIS MOVIE! AAAHHHH! It is going to be so fucking EPIC! Just give it to me NOW! I will leave you guys with the trailer for the film instead of the synopsis.
