Pandas…please send halp!
I don’t know how much longer I can wait! I think I may being slowly dying on the inside from the anticipation. It feels like I have been waiting FOREVER for Violet Evergarden to come out. Why do animation studios have to do this to us?! WHHHYYY?!?!
Probably because they know we will come back no matter how long the wait…I mean just look how long it took Attack on Titan to come out lololz
But today (as you can tell from the title post) I want to talk about the long awaited Violet Evergarden!
If you DO NOT know what I am talking about (in which you must be living under a rock) then watch the trailer down below (P.S. make sure you watch it in 1080p HD):
Yes, that GORGEOUS piece of artwork is FINALLY coming to us in winter of 2018! I was soooo happy when they finally announced a release date for it.
The synopsis of this series is as follows:
“Auto Memories Doll.
It’s been quite a while since that name caused a fuss. Originally invented by Professor Orland solely for his beloved wife, Auto Memories Dolls eventually spread out into the world, and a machine that allows people to rent out the dolls was also created.
“I will run as fast as I can to wherever my customer desires. I am the Auto Memories Doll, Violet Evergarden.”
A girl who almost appears to have popped out of a fairy tale with her blonde hair and blue eyes said this with her inorganic beauty and sweet voice.
The story revolves around Auto Memory Dolls; dolls initially created by a scientist to assist his blind wife write her novels, and later rented out to other people who needed their services. While the initial function of these Auto Memory Dolls is only to generate voices into text, a second group of people created a company that rented out beautiful talented women who, while having the same function as the original Auto Memory Dolls, also can perform military-related tasks.”
As my lovely friends over at Wikipedia states:
“Violet Evergarden is a Japanese light novel series written by Kana Akatsuki and illustrated by Akiko Takase. It won the grand prize in the fifth Kyoto Animation Award’s novel category in 2014, the first ever work to win a grand prize in any of the three categories (novel, scenario, and manga). Kyoto Animation published the first light novel on December 25, 2015 under their KA Esuma Bunko imprint. An anime television series adaptation by Kyoto Animation will premiere in January 2018, with several advanced screenings taking place in 2017.”
Here is the second trailer released for it just a few short months ago:

I’m pretty sure (like 99% sure) that this anime will be my favorite anime of all time. It is hard to beat Nagi no Asukara (in terms of uniqueness and originality), but I think Violet Evergarden can do it. I’ve been a HUGE fan of Kyoto Animation after watching their other works (which include Clannad, Free!, Tamako Market, Beyond the Boundary, Amagi Brilliant Park, Myriad Colors Phantom World, Miss Kobayashi’s Dragon Maid, and A Silent Voice (Film). Of course they have many other works (in which I haven’t seen yet) but I hope to add more of them to my watch list!
I have high high hopes for Violet Evergarden! I know Kyoto Animation will deliver to us fans. They just have to or else I’m gonna cry (like the big crybaby that I am). I swear 2018 can’t get here fast enough, but I probably should stop complaining and enjoy the rest of 2017. Each year just keeps getting faster and faster and I am not getting any younger. Gotta enjoy my youthfulness before it’s too late! Don’t rush growing up kids! 😉
Is anyone else looking forward to watch Violet Evergarden? If so what do you hope this series will bring to the table? Do you think it could be one of the best anime of ALL time? Do you think Kyoto Animation will deliver another masterpiece? Let me know in the comments section below! ❤
