Sunday Funday: Anime Food Vs. Real Life

What’s up guys?

Today has been kinda meh for me. I wasn’t feeling that well last night and I still feel kinda iffy today…but I wanted to make some kind of post for y’all. I had some delicious Pho for lunch earlier and it got me thinking. Why not make today’s Sunday Funday post all about food? Better yet, anime food verses real life food (you know…like what you see in the commercials verses what you get in real life type of thingy).

I was also thinking about maybe making this a series. We have some really good quality Asian food places around where I live and I could totally take pics for you guys, rate the food and experience and whether or not I would go there again/recommend it? What do you guys think? Let me know if that is something you would enjoy seeing!

Also this list will consist of food seen in anime that I would personally like to try when I get the chance to visit Japan. I am hoping by 2020 for my 30th birthday! This is a goal of mine. I’m gonna do it. Just you wait! Fair warning…if you are hungry or haven’t eaten dinner yet I would suggest you grab something now XD

1. Crepes

^Crepes always be looking delicious in anime. I need one right meow!

Real Life

2. Ramen

^Not gonna lie…we have a pretty good ramen place where I live but it’s probably a lot different than Japanese ramen.

Real Life

豚骨ラーメン^Just look at all that deliciousness. Mhmmm.

3. Omurice

^I haven’t tried an omelette with fried rice yet.

Real Life

Omurice^Looks like breakfast perfection to me!

4. Onigiri

^Legit would be me.

Real Life

Onigiri^I’m starting to get hungry again. I’m such a little piglet!

5. Takoyaki

^Kero is my spirit animal.

Real Life

Takoyaki^Little balls of heaven.

Of course there are many other foods I want to try like Sushi, Mochi, Kare Raisu, Okonomiyaki, Shabu Shabu, Yakitori, Soba, Udon, Gyudon, Green Tea flavored sweets (or rather any Japanese sweets in general), but I don’t think you guys need an endless list from me tonight…or rather I don’t have the energy to make this post any longer. So many foods, so little time! I hope you enjoyed today’s post. Sorry if I made you hungry! Like I said above I am already getting hungry AGAIN! I feel like I never stop eating sometimes. Maybe I should just turn into a wee little piggy. Let me know in the comments section below what food you would like to try most if you ever visited Japan ❤

  1. There is this recurring thing for me: I either see posts like this when just waking up, or just before heading to bed. In either case I always get hungry because of them. This is a fun idea, I for one would really enjoy seeing this become a regular series. Also, take care: I hope you will feel better soon 😊

  2. Takoyaki never looks like what it does in animes when I get them and they’re so much more dough than octopus 🙁. There was this one place I went to though where I thought the flakes on top were alive cause they were moving from the heat 🙈!

Udon is my fav. I’m super picky about my Ramen and I’ve only found one place I like it at whereas I think it’s kinda harder to mess up Udon.
