One of the anime’s I have been enjoying this winter season is Miira no Kaikata (How to Keep a Mummy). I mean…how could you not love an adorable pint-sized mummy that barks on occasions? I know I do! I also have quite the attachment to all the other critters as well.
Just look at them! 🙂
I really adore Isao (the dragon) and Mukumuku (the Baku) who looks like a little piggy. I was also stoked when Aayan showed up in episode 10. I have a real big fascination with Egyptian Gods…so you can say my inner fan-girl came out when a talking Anubis statue was represented. After watching the latest episode last night I got to thinking about all the other creature/animal sidekicks in anime. I wanted to give them some representation in today’s Top Ten Tuesday.
So here are my top ten favorite critter sidekicks in anime!
1. Meow from Space Dandy
^This one should be pretty obvious since Meow looks like a cat….and y’all know I love cats ❤
2. Ein from Cowboy Bebop
^Just an adorable fun loving Corgi doggo :3
3. Sonic from Kekkai Sensen
^Sonic is literally my spirit animal.
4. Ariel from Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus’ Bride)
^I love how inherently sassy Ariel is.
5. Fuzzy from Fukigen na Mononokean (The Morose Mononokean)
^Fuzzy just looks like a cute little fluffy cloud. I wanna snuggle him!
6. Nyanko-sensei from Natsume Yuujinchou (Natsume’s Book of Friends)
^The best part of the whole show!
7. Mao from Darker Than Black
^I’m seeing a pattern here. Cats for the win!
8. Kero and Spinel from CardCaptor Sakura
^One of the best comedic duos in anime.
9. Juli from Brother’s Conflict
^Juli is one overprotective squirrel! XD
10. Hawk from Nanatsu no Taizai
^Hawk-chan is me on an everyday basis.
