Winter Anime Wrap-up: We Came, We Saw, We Watched.

Thank you winter season for not being a total failure!

I have to say this winter season was quite spectacular. There were some amazing shows and I am sad all of them are coming to an end. But we can’t be sad for too long! Spring season is right around the corner. This spring season is going to be my largest watch list yet. I am going to be watching around 28 shows. Whew! I still can’t believe how BIG spring season is going to be.

If you have been following me for sometime now then you know how my rating system works. I rate the anime one out of ten and that is that’s about it. Easy peasy lemon squeezy. So let’s get this party started!


1. 3-gatsu no Lion (March comes in like a Lion) Season 2

My Rating: This anime will undoubtedly be a 10 out of 10 for me!


2. Violet Evergarden

Studio: Kyoto Animation
Source: Light Novel
Genres: Slice of Life, Drama, Fantasy
My Rating: 9.7 out of 10. Almost near perfection with a few bumps in the road.


3. Koi wa Ameagari no You ni (After the Rain)

Studio: Wit Studio
Source: Manga
Genres: Romance, Seinen
My Rating: 9.5 out of 10. Another top notch anime! The manga is fantastic as well.


4. Sora yori mo Tooi Basho (A Place Further Than the Universe)

Genres: Slice of Life, Adventure
My Rating: 8.8 out of 10. I hope we get more!


5. Devilman Crybaby

Studio: Science SARU

Genres: Action, Demons, Horror, Supernatural
My Rating: 8.6 out of 10. Hands down the craziest anime I’ve seen now.


6. Yuru Camp (Laid Back Camp)

My Rating: 8.5 out of 10. So kawaii and moe!


7. Mahoutsukai no Yome (The Ancient Magus Bride)

Studio: Wit Studio

Genres: Slice of Life, Fantasy, Magic, Shounen
My Rating: 8.3 out of 10. The fantasy aspects were superb!


8. Darling in the FranXX

Studio: Trigger & A-1 Pictures

Genres: Sci-Fi, Drama, Mecha
My Rating: 8.2 out of 10…mainly due to Zero Two being so cute ❤


9. Nanatsu no Taizai: Imashime no Fukkatsu

My Rating: 8.2 out of 10. I mainly watch this show for Ban and Elaine 🙂


10. Citrus

Studio: Passione

My Rating: 8.1 out of 10. I LIVE for the drama!!!


11. Overlord II

My Rating: 8 out of 10. MVP this season definitely goes to Sebas.


12. Cardcaptor Sakura: Clear Card-hen

My Rating: 8 out of 10. Nice to see one of my favorite childhood shows again!


13. GARO -VANISHING LINE-

My Rating: 7.9 out of 10. Want to see more of Luke since he is so sexy 😉


14. Dagashi Kashi 2

My Rating: 7.8 out of 10. Hotaru-chan is da best!


15. Kokkoku

My Rating: 7.8 out of 10. That opening song is just so damn catchy.


16. Gakuen Babysitters

My Rating: 7.7 out of 10 for all the tiny wittle tater totes.


17. Miira no Kaikata (How to Keep a Mummy)

My Rating: 7.6 out of 10. More moe anime!


18. Ramen Daisuki Koizumi-san

  1. March Comes in Like a Lion was definitely my favourite. Dame x Pri ended up being more fun than I expected. Still wouldn’t say it was good but it is one of the shows that really surprised me this season.

      1. And it isn’t exactly worth hunting down. Still, I ended up pleasantly surprised given it isn’t my usual kind of thing and yet it was a fairly decently enjoyable show for all its silliness.
